ECA EIA Practitioners Training Course - February 2026

The two-day EIA course will be facilitated by Prof. Angus Morrison-Saunders and Dr Jenny Pope. It will provide all practitioners with valuable insight into the latest practice and approaches for Environmental Impact Assessment in Western Australia and draw on transferable international learnings and best practice in impact assessment.

Importantly, the course will capture the latest changes to levels of assessment and EPA expectations from the recently released Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) Practice Guide for the assessment of proposals under Part IV of the Environmental Protection Act 1986. This Practice Guide is consolidating and replacing the existing Administrative Procedures and Procedures Manual and will come into effect on 1 January 2026.

The course is designed to accommodate a range of experience levels, with practical module-based learning to provide maximum value for participants. Whether you are a graduate, experienced environmental professional or student, we strongly recommend participation across industry, Government, academic and consulting backgrounds.
