The EPA’s Strategic Plan and Annual Report

The Environmental Protection Authority (EPA) has recently released its Strategic Plan 2019-2022 and 2018-19 Annual Report. The strategic plan identifies the ‘four pillars’ that will guide the EPA’s focus, and the annual report summarises the activities of the EPA over the past 12 months but identifies the key areas it will provide particular attention looking forward. Both of these documents are critical to understanding the EPA’s strategic thinking and intentions, which is relevant to the ongoing commercial activities of environmental consultants and proponents. On this basis Dr. Tom Hatton, Chair of the EPA, has agreed to join us to talk us through both the strategic plan and the annual report, and provide us with additional insights into how this is likely to influence environmental impact assessment and environmental policy formulation, and how we can use this insight to better guide and inform our clients and their future activities and proposals.

The event will also allow for questions and/or a panel discussion (details to follow) and networking drinks afterwards thanks to our event sponsor Lavan.
