Understanding DWER's 'One-Stop-Shop'

Earlier this year, the Minister for the Environment announced a new ‘one-stop shop’ service for water and environmental assessments and approvals. The intent of this initiative is that proponents who require environmental and water approvals can now engage with the Department of Water and Environmental Regulation (DWER) through a single contact point supported by a new internal co-ordination framework. The creation of the new one-stop shop service is also intended to improve proponent access to government services and overall response times.

To find out what this means in terms of DWER’s progress to date and any planned future evolution of this initiative, the ECA has arranged this presentation to enable an understanding of key considerations and implications that are likely to arise for those dealing with these processes, and it has been specifically tailored to meet the needs of environmental consultants and proponents.

Speakers will be followed by a question and answer session.

In addition, there will be networking drinks and food and an opportunity to mingle with DWER speakers and staff, making this an opportunity not to miss!

It is important to note that both ECA members and non-members are equally welcome to attend this event.
