Binghui Li
Profile
Bing is Senior Engineer – Acoustics and Vibration at GHD Perth. Bing has nearly 12 years’ consulting experience in various acoustics disciplines, including underwater acoustics, environmental noise, transport (rail & road) and industrial noise and vibration, and architectural acoustics, across a range of sectors including Infrastructure, Energy, Industry, Oil and Gas, Mining and Built Environment.
Bing has extensive experience in underwater acoustics with technical skills covering sound source and propagation modelling, measurement and monitoring, data processing and analysis, impact assessment, and mitigation and control management. His project experience ranges from offshore drilling and seismic survey explorations to coastal/offshore development and operations, across regions of different jurisdictions including Australia, New Zealand, Europe, Africa and America.
Bing has detailed knowledge in transport (rail and road) related noise and vibration issues, and has involved in the development of the latest Western Australian State Planning Policy 5.4 (SPP 5.4, Sept 2019) and its implementation guidelines, the state-of-the-art vibration standards review for relevant government agency, as well as the specialist investigation of the ground-borne noise and vibration (GBNV), low frequency noise (LFN) and curve squeal noise (CSN) issues and their potential solutions for the Western Australian Freight Rail Network. Bing has played a key role in delivering noise and vibration studies based on industry best practice for multiple major METRONET railway projects in WA, including Forrestfield Airport Link (FAL), Thornlie-Cockburn Link (TCL), Morley-Ellenbrook Line (MEL), Inner Armadale Line Level Crossing Removals (LXR), Byford Rail Extension (BRE), Claremont Station Redevelopment (CSR) and Midland Line Extension (MLE).
