Profile

Chris is a Principal Environmental Scientist and has gained his 18 years’ experience in Australia, South America, Europe and the USA. He started his career carrying out compliance air quality assessments, but after completing his Masters in Science in EIA, EMS and environmental auditing, he has been coordinating Environmental Impact Statements, drafting impact assessments and executing air quality monitoring programs for a range of energy, mining and infrastructure projects. This broad exposure to different industries has given him an equally broad understanding of the risks that are characteristic to different projects in different geographies. Chris has a detailed understanding of the WA state (Parts IV and V of the Environmental Protection Act 1986 and Mining Act 1978) and Commonwealth environmental assessment processes and requirements (primarily the Matters of National Environmental Significance attributed by the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999) allowing him to enjoy the advisory aspect to his project management and client facing role. Chris’ Western Australian experience has been gained in the Pilbara, Central West, Goldfields and Perth Metro Regions of WA.
