Rebecca is a Principal Environmental Scientist and has more than 17 years’ experience working in the environmental sector in Western Australia across consulting, research and government roles.
Rebecca has a range of experience across State and Federal environmental impact assessment; regulatory approvals documentation; and the development and implementation of management plans to meet statutory conditions and other approval requirements. Her experience covers technical input to, and involvement in, the preparation of a number of large Public Environmental Review (PER) processes for both infrastructure and mining projects across south-west Western Australia.
Rebecca has been involved in a number of major infrastructure projects. She project managed the consultant team for the Perth and Peel Green Growth Plan for 3.5 million, playing a key role in delivering the draft Strategic Assessment of the Perth and Peel Regions. She has also contributed to environmental impact assessment documentation for the Yanchep Rail Extension, Gateway Project and Sydney’s M12 Motorway and produced environmental management plans for the Forrestfield Airport Link.
Rebecca has also worked extensively in the Perth urban development sector, providing guidance and advice on environmental matters to clients from the early stages of due diligence, through to structure planning and subdivision. This has included management and planning for surface water and groundwater, wetlands, acid sulphate soils, contaminated sites, flora and fauna.
