Rob is a PhD qualified marine scientist (UWA), Principal Consultant and Associate Director of BMT Oceanica Pty Ltd. Since 1999, Rob has been engaged full-time in consulting and postgraduate research activities in environmental impact assessment (EIA), biological surveys, water quality management, environmental compliance, auditing and approvals. Rob completed his postgraduate research on the Swan River Estuary, Western Australia, where he investigated the role of benthic fauna in sediment-water nutrient cycling, within the context of eutrophication management. His extensive professional experience includes project managing the marine environmental scope of capital dredging and facilities installation, undertaking EIA and related risk assessment and biological surveys for clients associated with West Australian marine infrastructure projects and the North West Shelf oil and gas industry. Rob is the Chair of BMT Oceanica’s Project Delivery Committee and Deputy-Chair of Business Management, and also facilitated the company’s certification to the ISO 9001 Quality Management standard.
